Another round of the AMA supercross championship this coming weekend, this time without defending champion, Jett Lawrence of the HRC factory team. Of course, we all know about his knee injury, that will keep him out of the remaining rounds of the supercross, but will probably also take away his chance to become the AMA 450 motocross champion. Bummer for Lawrence, but an even bigger bummer for the sport, because the less we see of the talented Aussie, the bigger pity it is for us, the fans.

Crazy to think after four rounds of this years title chase, the MXGP World champion and AMA supercross champion are already out injured and the fight for the titles seems to be between veterans Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac and current AMA 450 motocross champion, and former AMA supercross champion, Chase Sexton. Is the young Red Bull KTM Factory actually looking to join the two veteran/legends and capture another major AMA title?

“We got the overall win and that is what we are here to do, we’re here to win and get the red plate back,” Sexton said. “Consistency paid off tonight. My speed was good, just a few little mistakes and things we need to work on for next week, but we are in a good spot and I’m ready to fight for this thing.”

Below is the schedule for Tampa and of course, it will be just a six hour time difference from Europe, so watching most of the early action will be possible. Practice starts at 6pm in Europe and 5pm in the UK and the main program will begin at 1am in Europe and 12 midnight in the UK. Main event for the 450s will be at 3am in Europe and 2am in UK.
