Kevin Horgmo in France
Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR rider Kevin Horgmo is without question one of the riders who probably deserves a factory ride in the MXGP class. Always around the top ten and often causing a bit of a surprise, although the surprise is wearing off, as we all realize what a talent this guy is. Below is how Horgmo felt about his round three experience in France

The French GP
Horgmo: The third round of the World Motocross Championship took place in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, France, and it was a weekend with both challenges and highlights. Already on Friday I felt a little sick, and the night before Saturday the fever came. The goal for Saturday was therefore to get through in the best possible way without using too much effort.
Saturday
Horgmo: In practice and time qualifying, I struggled with both energy and focus and never managed to set any really good lap times. Thanks to a little Paracetamol before the qualifying heat, I was able to complete in a decent way. I got a good start and kept a steady pace, which was enough for a 10th place. Considering the form of the day, it was a small victory in itself.
Sunday
Horgmo: After a good night's sleep, I woke up without a fever. My throat was still sore, but my body felt better – and it showed already at the warm-up Sunday morning, where I drove in to the 7th best time.
Moto One
Horgmo: Got off to a good start but lost a few positions in the first round. Fought hard around 8-10th place and finally got up to 8th place and started chasing 7th man towards the end of the heat but was hindered by a crashed driver in the track in front of me and lost a position. Finished in 9th place – happy with the driving, even though the result could have been a notch better.
Moto Two
Horgmo: Good start again but lost a few positions in the first corners and dropped down to 11th place. Found the flow quickly and drove myself up to 9th but choked the bike and fell back to 10th. I recovered again, took back 9th place and put in a real push towards the end. The gap of eight seconds to the group in front was driven in a few laps, and on the last lap I made a good overtaking attempt and secured 8th place. The driving was really good – maybe my best heat so far this season!
Overall
Horgmo: Overall, it was a solid weekend, despite the fact that the body has not been quite at its best in the last two rounds. The feeling on the bike is very good now, and that bodes well for what is to come. The goal now is to make a full recovery during the week and be ready for the French championship.
