Zaragoza Wins Birmingham
Spanish star, Jorge Zaragoza has taken out the opening round of the Arenacross World Tour, with the Stark future rider showing brilliance all night long. Racing the electric machine a bike that won the Arenacross title in 2024 with Jack Brunell, the Spaniard started his night with second in his group for qualification and was fourth fastest in qualification overall.
Zaragoza then scored victory in the second heat race, leading home team-mate, Yannis Irsuti and Dean Wilson, with defending champion Brunell in fourth and Tommy Searle fifth. The final heat of the night and Zaragoza finished second to Cedric Souberas.
In the main event, the Stark Future factory rider led early and controlled the race, winning the main event and the evenings cash prize. Second was Souberas and third Wilson.
Zaragoza, a skilled motocross rider from Valencia, Spain, began his journey in motocross at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks due to his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
Starting his professional career in 2014, Jorge has competed in some of the most challenging motocross circuits worldwide, consistently showcasing his ability to adapt and perform under pressure. Known for his smooth riding style and tactical approach, Zaragoza has been a formidable competitor in the MXGP series, where he represents Honda 114 Motorsports.
Throughout his career, Jorge has faced numerous challenges, including injuries and stiff competition from top riders around the world. Despite these obstacles, he has remained committed to improving his skills and achieving success on the track.
His journey in the motocross world is a testament to his resilience and passion for the sport. Jorge continues to inspire upcoming riders with his determination and commitment, aiming to leave a lasting legacy in the motocross community.
Triumph factory rider, Tommy Searle did well to win the head to head final, having taken out his heat race shoot out and then the semi-final, but the former champion could only manage 12th place in the all important Main Event.
