Webb Wins Indy - Report
If ever a man showed his potential to win championships, it has to be Star Racing Yamaha rider, Cooper Webb. Already with two AMA supercross titles and of course his AMA 250 motocross championship, this veteran of the sport is showing up in 2025 and his victory at the Indianapolis supercross gives him more momentum and of course, more importantly, extends his points gap to former AMA supercross champion, Chase Sexton, who finished third in Indy.
Cooper Webb: It was all over the place day. I had the crash and lucky to be able to walk away, the bike was pretty mangled. The heat race made a supercross mistake and I was fired up and wanted to get out in the main event and make it happen. I made the start and could just ride my laps. I was super stoked. The positive tonight, I got a great start and got put front and maintained the lead out front. I felt really good and you will have stuff happen, like what happened today. I think Barcia go the holeshot, but I got him early and it was a track you can make mistakes, so it was playing cat and mouse. The speed thing (people saying Sexton is quicker), hopefully we can put that to bed.
Chase Sexton: I had a good line in the sand section and had that good line for a while. Doubling though it and the line went away a little and I lost the front. I went down and it took me four or five laps to get into the groove and has Justin behind me. It is unfortunate and we have a week off to improve. I just need a reset, these last four of five races and its hard to hide it. We come back from the short break and I want to put some good races together. Coop is riding really well and solid from the get-go. I just need to be better.

After crashing big time earlier in the night, Webb blasted out of the start with Ken Roczen going down in the first corner with Jason Anderson. Justin Barcia led early, before Webb slide up the inside to take the lead. Webb once in the lead just continued to move away as Sexton passed Barcia and moving into second place.
Justin Cooper then passed Barcia to move into third place, and Chase Sexton crashed while in second, handing second place to Justin Cooper. It was all Cooper Webb and winning his first ever Indianapolis main event. Roczen got up to seventh place and Anderson 11th.
450 championship points are now 193 for Webb, 178 for Sexton and 167 for Roczen. The series is a long way from over, but you gotta be picking Webb to continue to extend his lead as Sexton continues to crash and hand over points to his rival.
In the 250 main event, it was Kawasaki rider, Seth Hammaker who took the surprise win from the two leaders in the West Coast and East Coast series, Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan.
Former leader of the East Coast series, Max Anstie finished in seventh place, but the battle for that championship is now just a single point between the two former GP riders 79pts to 78pts. Hammaker is third with 68 points. Deegan extended his points lead in the 250 West and is now on 129 points to 117 points for Julien Beaumer.
