JETT LAWRENCE: Scores his first win of 2025 and closes within five points of the red plate. Lawrence now has nine 450SX Class victories, still good for 26th all-time. His 55th SMX victory moves him to one win out of the top-10 all-time. Jett’s ninth win in his 20th start is tied for the second most successful first 20 450SX Class starts in history: Bob Hannah- 10 wins, Lawrence- 9, McGrath- 9, & Stewart- 9. Six former 450SX Class Champions won no rounds in their first 20 450SX Class starts: Ricky Carmichael, Ricky Johnson, Cooper Webb, Jeff Ward, Jeff Stanton, & David Bailey.

KEN ROCZEN: With his second podium of the season and 71st of his 450SX Class career Roczen will carry the red plate for the first time since after the 2022 Opener. It is the first time Suzuki has held the red plate in SMX competition since the 2018 Western Regional Opener in Anaheim when Justin Hill carried the red plate for being the defending Champion. Before that, it was Roczen running the red plate for most of the 2016 Pro Motocross Championship. The last time Suzuki held the red plate in 450SX Class racing was rounds 2-4 of the 2015 season, once again with Ken Roczen. That makes 169 450SX Class rounds between Suzuki holding the red plate. Roczen was also making his 150th career 450SX Class start.

JASON ANDERSON: Nails his 52nd career 450SX Class podium and 92nd SMX podium tying him with Johnny O’mara for 21st on the all-time SMX podiums list. He passes Rick Johnson for 14th on the 450SX Class podiums list. Anderson seeks his 250th career top-10 finish in Glendale.

NOTES: Chase Sexton (4th) 180th career SMX start, 48th 450SX Class top 5, 129th SMX top 5. 2023’s Champ ranks second in points and only three points back. Rick Johnson (Honda) won and clinched his first 450SX Class title in what was the penultimate round. The next season Jeff Ward won in Tempe just missing a title clinch by two points. He sealed the deal over Johnson in the L.A. finale. Sun Devil Stadium hosted three more rounds in 1991, 1997, and 1998.

CHASE FIELD: From 1999-2015 Supercross moved to Phoenix (Chase Field) becoming a mainstay, holding a round for 17 years in a row. Only nine 450SX Class venues hosted Supercross for more years in a row than Chase Field did. Jeremy McGrath won the first Supercross held in Chase Field en-route to his sixth Championship. In the last Chase Field Supercross in 2015, Cooper Webb (250SX) and Eli Tomac (450SX) earned their first career victories in their respective

A31ZONA: State Farm Stadium was built in 2006 and is home to the Arizona Cardinals. Supercross made its first voyage to Glendale in 2016, and Ken Roczen (Suzuki) stole the show. Supercross has hosted a Glendale round every season since, sans 2021. Arizona has hosted five races in Tempe, 17 in Phoenix, and eight in Glendale. This will be the 31st 450SX Class round held in Arizona and the ninth for State Farm Stadium.

WINNER’S CURSE: The winner of Glendale is a paltry 1/8 in doubling as 450SX Class Champion. Tomac in 2022 is the only athlete to pull it off and is the winningest rider in Arizona’s 450SX Class history, looking for his sixth win. He earned his first 450SX Class win in Chase Field and won a 250SX Class round in Phoenix 2013. Arizona Supercross winners are 14/30 in winning the title when combining all three venues.
