A very exciting team for Team Belgium and this years Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. The team is Sacha Coenen in the MX2, Lucas Coenen in the MXGP and Liam Everts in the MX Open class!

While not a favourite for the win, without question, one of the most exciting teams in the event and a podium is within their grasp. Everts has now ridden a handful of Nations, while the Coenen brothers are rather new to the event, and both have a shot at top three in their classes.

Last year Everts finished strong with 3-10 scores in the Open class, while Lucas Coenen was 19-19 in MX2. This will be Sasha Coenens first crack at racing for his country. I am pretty excited to see both the Coenen brothers around Matterley Basin.

Belgium have not won the Nations since 2013 in Germany and they are on a regular basis this last decade a top five team. Lucas Coenen on the 450 is going to be a little special and going up against the top MXGP riders will be very interesting. More later.
