Steve Dixon has written an open message on his social media about the 2024 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations. You can read it below.

Steve Dixon: I want to extend a massive thank you to all the fans who purchased tickets and supported this event. Behind the scenes, this was an incredibly challenging undertaking, and I especially want to give a shout-out to my small but brilliant crew, with special thanks to my partner, Tracey, for her unwavering support of both me and the event this year.

Huge thanks to all our sponsors, Infront, FIM, ACU, our marshals, volunteers, medical teams, security, fire, traffic management, Winchester City Council, and the landowner Peveril Bruce for making this all possible.I believe we put together an outstanding track this weekend, which delivered some of the most thrilling racing and intense battles we've seen in years, creating an incredible atmosphere and proving that British motocross is still thriving. On the corporate side, our hospitality met all expectations and showcased the sport in its best light. Of course, there were a few issues, but when you build a temporary "city" in a field within a week, it’s never going to be easy. That said, someone has to take the risk, and fortunately (or unfortunately), I can’t say no!

After 3 MXoNs, 2 Festivals of Motocross GPs, and 12 Grand Prix events, I believe I’ve achieved the stability I set out to bring since 2006. Here's to hoping the future is bright for British riders, and we can cheer them on at Matterley again in the years to come. This event has undoubtedly boosted the local tourism and economy, likely bringing in millions.

Unfortunately, due to a small number of people, traffic was held up on the way out. One individual refused to wait for the lights, disobeyed the traffic marshal, and assaulted a member of our staff, leaving him unconscious for 15 minutes and temporarily closing the exit as it became a crime scene. I'm relieved to share that George Glover, whose son also works with my motocross team, is out of the hospital and recovering. The assailant was later arrested 25 miles away.

I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we worked through the situation and ensured everyone’s safety.I wish the organisers at Ironman all the best for the 2025 USA MXoN—it’s sure to be a spectacular event. Here at Matterley, we now face the huge task of returning the site back to a farmer’s field within the week. It’s incredible to think over 100 tonnes of rubbish was generated in such a short time!Once again, thank you to everyone, and we hope to welcome you back to Matterley in the future.
