Veteran racer, Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek) prevailed with two race wins in three races and took the lead in the ADAC MX Masters with the overall victory.

In front of 11,600 enthusiastic fans, local hero Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing) secured second place overall, followed by Roan Van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team). Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) triumphed in the third race and celebrated his first race win in the premier class.

Reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Max Nagl made a successful start to the 2025 season and – despite a change of team and brand in the winter – won for the third time in the 2025 season.

In the first two races, he dominated with sovereign lights-to-flag victories. In the third race, he only had to admit defeat to Noah Ludwig, who prevailed after the Red Bull Holeshot.

Max Nagl: "With the new project at Triumph, I couldn't have wished for a better start to the season. The start on Saturday went perfectly, as did the second race on Sunday. In the third race it was difficult due to a gearbox defect, but overall it was a great team performance and a great start to the new season,"

Local hero Maximilian Spies inspires home crowd Local hero Maximilian Spies created an additional atmosphere in the stands: He finished second on Saturday and finished third in the second race on Sunday behind Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/JMT Esttrans Yamaha Keskus Racing Team).

In the final race, he fought his way up from eighth to fourth place after a weaker start and thus secured second place in the overall result.

Maximilian Spies: "The track was quite difficult at the end, but the support of the fans motivated me incredibly. I wanted to do three consistent races without crashes – I managed to do that and I'm very happy about the podium finish,"

Saturday

Max Nagl starts the season with a lights-to-flag victory. Quentin Prugnieres prevails in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Harry Dale wins the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. In sunny weather, the 21st season of the ADAC MX Masters traditionally began in Fürstlich Drehna on Saturday.

The three races of the day were won by Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek) in the ADAC MX Masters, Quentin Prugnieres (F/WZ-Racing KTM) in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and Harry Dale (GB/KTM MX Futures) in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, Ricardo Bauer (A/MSC Imbach MX Racing Team) will start from pole position on Sunday.

Reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Max Nagl started his season as he did last year: With the Red Bull Holeshot, he took the lead from the start in the first of three races ahead of Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/JMT Estrans Yamaha Keskus Racing Team) and local hero Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing). Already in the second lap, Spies took second place. On lap four, Roan Van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team) took over from third place.

At the halfway point of the race, Mike Gwerder (CH/HTS-KTM Racing Team) moved up to fourth place, while Kevin Brumann (CH/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing) pushed Talviku out of the top five a little later. Nagl took a commanding start-finish victory ahead of Spies, Van de Moosdijk, Gwerder and Brumann.

Max Nagl: "I got away so well at the start that I scared myself a bit when suddenly there was no one next to me. After that, I concentrated on myself because the track was very worn out and mistakes could happen quickly. Now I'm relieved and happy that the hard work of the last few weeks has paid off,"

Quentin Prugnieres wins on his debut In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Richard Stephan (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing) initially took the lead with the Red Bull Holeshot, but was overtaken by Maximilian Ernecker on the opening lap. Stephan fell out of the top five within the first laps. Meanwhile, Ernecker, Liam Owens (AU/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna), Quentin Prugnieres and Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team) distanced themselves from the rest of the field.

Four laps before the end of the race, Prugnieres took the lead over Ernecker, one lap later Mesters pushed past Owens into third place. Prugnieres won on his debut in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup ahead of Ernecker, Mesters, Owens and Lyonel Reichl (CH/Bauerschmidt Husqvarna). "It took me a while to find my rhythm, but I'm very happy with the race win," Prugnieres summed up.

Ricardo Bauer set the fastest lap in qualifying and will be the first to choose his starting position tomorrow, followed by Ian Ampoorter (B/F4E GasGas Junior Racing Team) and Finn Lange (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing).

Harry Dale secured an early lead with the Red Bull Holeshot ahead of Luca Nierychlo (D/KTM MX Futures) and Marten Raud (EST/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing). Nierychlo dropped back behind Raud and Jarno Jansen (CH/Sixtyseven Racing Team Husqvarna) on the second lap.

At the halfway point of the race, Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) initially took over fourth place and put increasing pressure on the leader Dale towards the end of the race. But Dale kept his nerve and won ahead of Leok, Raud, Jansen and Nierychlo. "After the holeshot, I tried to concentrate on myself. I've trained hard over the winter and now I'm in a great team environment – it's reflected in the results," said a delighted Dale.

The re-live of the first day of racing is available on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel. The live stream of all races on Sunday starts at 09.50 a.m. and can be followed under adac.de/mx-masters.
