Mewse In For NPC Pro MX
Crendon Tru7 Honda’s 450 squad of Conrad Mewse and Jamie Carpenter will both contest the new three-round NPC Pro MX Championship this season in addition to the ACU British championship.
Following the demise of the Fastest 40 series that ran in 2024, both 25-year-old riders will add the NPC series to their official motocross calendar. The series starts on March 23 at Oxford Moto Parc, which will mark the first official team motocross this season. Round two is at Oakhanger in Hampshire on April 20 with the final on September 14 at a new circuit in nearby Aldershot.
Until now, Mewse has been contesting the British Arenacross series which ends in Manchester this weekend, while Carpenter made his 2025 race debut at the gruelling Hawkstone Park International motocross this month.
The British championship starts at Hawkstone Park on March 30, so the opening NPC round makes an ideal opener to the season. Jake Nicholls will join the team at British championship rounds in the MX2 class on his Crendon Tru7 Honda CRF250R, but may race selected NPC rounds. The riders are also set to contest Scottish championship rounds and some internationals.
Team principal - Dave Thorpe: “We always supported the MX Nationals and Fastest 40 series, but as this has now ended we wanted to add another championship to our schedule for 2025. As one of the most high-profile teams in the paddock, I think it’s important to show support for the sport with these growing championships. The NPC series is ideal as there are only three rounds that fit into our calendar well, and are all based in the south so are easier on logistics for us to attend. And we know the circuits will all be good, as they are being built by top track builders Justin Barclay and Alfie Smith.”
