Gajser Wins In Trentino
HRC factory rider Tim Gajser has won the MXGP of Arco de Trento with an impressive 1-1 performance as he extended his championship lead over the opposition. It was the sixth victory for the Slovenian at the Arco de Trento circuit, making him the most successful rider at this circuit (he had been equal with Antonio Cairoli, Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado on five wins each).
Second overall was Factory Kawasaki rider Romain Febvre with 2-2 performances and third Fantic factory man, Glenn Coldenhoff with 5-3.
Championship points are now Tim Gajser 274 points, Romain Febvre 235pts, Glenn Coldenhoff 196pts, Lucas Coenen 176pts and Maxime Renaux 164pts.
Tim Gajser: I mean, I am speechless. I always want to give the fans a win here, it wasn't easy, Febvre was riding good and it will be crazy on the podium (with the fans). It wasn't easy yesterday, but we made some changes for today.
MXGP Moto Two
Fernandez led from Gajser, Coldenhoff, Monticelli, Coenen, Renaux, Vlaanderen, Febvre, Herlings, Van De Moosdijk in 10th. Seewer crashed and last. Herlings up the inside of Febvre and Gajser passed Fernandez.
Lap one it was Gajser, Fernandez, Coldenhoff, Coenen, Renaux, Vlaanderen, Febvre, Monticelli, Horgmo, Herlings in 10th. Monticelli dropped to 10th place, allowing Horgmo and Herlings to move up a spot.

After three laps the lead by Gajser was nearly four seconds over his team-mate and Coldenhoff was 5.6 seconds back, then came Coenen, Renaux, Febvre, Vlaanderen, Horgmo, Herlings and Pancar into 10th. Mitch Evans nicely places in 15th place on his comeback race. Cairoli 17th.
Febvre moved into fifth place and was all over Coenen for fourth position. The lead by Gajser was 5.8 seconds over Fernandez, who held a two second lead over Coldenhoff. Coenen and Febvre both putting a lot of pressure on the Dutchman.
Coenen into third with a pass on Coldenhoff and on lap seven the top ten was Gajser, Fernandez, Coenen, Coldenhoff, Febvre, Renaux, Horgmo, Pancar, Herlings and Bonacorsi. Febvre really pushing hard to get past Coldenhoff. Lap 10 and the lead by Gajser was 8.6 seconds with Coenen a further two seconds behind.
Coenen all over Fernandez, but the Spaniard now allowing the Belgian an easy pass and Coldenhoff also in the picture as he climbs a little closer to the front. A nice four way battle for second place as you could throw a blanket over Fernandez, Coenen, Coldenhoff and Febvre. If only this was the battle for the lead as Gajser blasts off into the distance.
Coenen went down as he lost the fight and Febvre moved into third place behind the two HRC men. The lead was 10.9 seconds, and the top ten was Gajser, Fernandez, Coenen, Febvre, Horgmo, Renaux, Pancar, Herlings and Bonacorsi, although the Fantic passed Herlings soon after.
Febvre moved into second with a pass on Fernandez and the gap between the Kawasaki rider and Gajser was 9.4 seconds. Coldenhoff all over Fernandez and into third place in a brilliant move on the Spanish rider. Gajser wins the moto and the GP. Second in the moto was Febvre and third Coldenhoff.
