MXGP series leader Tim Gajser just keeps marching on and he took the first momentum charge with the quickest time in the morning free practice. While it looked like Calvin Vlaanderen had clocked the best lap, which was a second quickest than everyone else, Gajser went out and took the fastest time, just ahead of Vlaanderen, and Jeffrey Herlings also did a quick late lap charge and finished third fastest, with Jorge Prado in fifth, but two seconds down on the time of Gajser.
