Nestaan Husqvarna rider Kay De Wolf extended his championship points lead by just one point, as he won the Saturday qualification race. The MX2 red plate owner took the lead early from Simon Langenfelder and just controlled the race from the front, beating home his team-mate Lucas Coenen and Langenfelder finishing in third.

Kay De Wolf: It was a nice comfortable race, just did my own thing, just made a few small mistakes, we will fix those and I am happy with my riding and looking forward to tomorrow.

Lucas Coenen led the MX2 qualifier from Langenfelder, de Wolf, Everts, Elzinga, Sasha Coenen, Reisulis, Braceras, Haarup, and McLellan 10th. Langenfelder into the lead on lap one and Everts dropped to 11th after a mistake.

De Wolf moved into the lead as he passed Langenfelder in a beautiful moved to take the front spot. Lucas Coenen also moved past the German rider and Everts moved up to ninth place. Lap one it was de Wolf, Lucas Coenen, Langenfelder, Elzinga, Haarup, Reisulis, McLellan, Sasha Coenen, Everts, and Rainio. Everts into 8th as he passed Sasha Coenen.

Lap two and the lead by De Wolf was 1.8 seconds over Lucas Coenen, then Langenfelder, Elzinga, Haarup, Resulis, Everts, McLellan, Sasha Coenen and Rainio. Everts moved past Reisulis to get into sixth position. Everts went down hard again and dropped well back to ninth again.

Lap six and it was De Wolf with a 2.4 second lead over Coenen, then Langenfelder, some 16 seconds back, then Elzinga, Haarup, Reisulis, McLellan, Everts, Sasha Coenen and Zanchi in 10th.

Coenen all over de Wolf on lap eight as the Belgian tries to catch and pass the Dutchman. Everts again passed Reisulis and moved into seventh place. Everts moved into sixth place as he passed Haarup, and Coenen continued to hound the leader, De Wolf. De Wolf wins from Lucas Coenen and Simon Langenfelder.
