Cornelius Toendel finished 15th in the MXGP championship in 2024, and despite finishing down the order in the MXGP title race he did show moments of glory throughout the season, claiming fifth overall at the MXGP of Portugal and ninth overall at the Latvian GP.

Clearly on the right team, Toendel has the potential to be a regular top ten guy, but with 15th in the World this year, not many teams are lining up for his services. Where he ends up next year is still a question mark for the Norwegian, as he writes below.

Cornelius Toendel: What a season it was. The highs were so high, but some lows also very low. Nonetheless I enjoyed every step of this journey because I truly believe once you finish the uphill the down hill will be a hell of a ride. I’m proud of my accomplishments but as well disappointed in myself for just not racing good enough sometimes. With getting Covid and a couple of injuries in the second half of the season I just struggled with getting back on track. Nonetheless I’m happy with a 15th overall in the world championship. I learned a lot about myself this year and I know what more I’m capable of for the next coming years. I want to thank Schmicker Racing for giving me a chance to race my first full season MXGP when no one else believed in my abilities. I want to thank @champ_._u_ for always having my back and working so hard to make everything ready for me. I’ve yet to decide what I will be doing next year but I will update you guys soon.
