Chase Sexton was tabbed as a future star of AMA Supercross and Motocross from a young age after winning his first AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship title at Loretta Lynn’s in 2011 in the 85 (9-11) Class.

Following a highly successful amateur motocross career, Sexton turned pro in 2017 with the powerhouse Geico Honda team. Injuries hampered him during his first two seasons, but Sexton broke out in 2019, capturing his first 250SX East Region Championship. He followed it up in 2020, adding a second East Region title to his resume.

The Illinois native moved to the 450 Class in the summer of 2020 with the Factory Honda HRC team and found immediate success. He finished fifth overall in his rookie Pro Motocross season and second overall in 2022.

After the 2022 season, Sexton was named to Team USA for the FIM Motocross of Nations. Paired with Justin Cooper and Eli Tomac, Sexton helped Team USA win the event on home soil at RedBud in Michigan, just a few hours from his hometown. It marked the first time since 2011 that a US team had won the event.

The 2023 season would be a breakout campaign for Sexton. Behind a six-win season in the 450 AMA Supercross Championship, Sexton captured his first career 450 title.

At the end of the 2023 Pro Motocross season, Sexton decided he needed a change. One of the most sought-after free agents in recent memory, Red Bull KTM signed him to a multi-year deal for 2024 and beyond.

“We are always watching and looking at riders progressing through their early years, and Chase’s progress has been very impressive,” said Motorsport Director KTM/Husqvarna North America Roger De Coster after the signing. “I am impressed by his determination and tenacity on the track, as well as his professionalism in the way that he handles himself off the track.”

Known for his impeccable riding style, Sexton is expected to challenge for AMA Supercross and Motocross titles for years to come.
