Two World legends and a British legend will go head-to-head in a little over a weeks time as Eli Tomac, with seven AMA titles and international success Worldwide goes up against the two time World supercross champion, Ken Roczen a the Canadian SX GP. Also involved will be 2023 World 250cc supercross champion, Max Anstie.

On October 26, these three riders will be hoping to be the stars of the show, but a long list of leading AMA and FIM riders will be involved, as the BC Place stadium in Vancouver presents this major motorcycle event.

“I’m really excited to be rejoining the WSX grid this year and I’m hoping I can relive some of the success I had in Cardiff in 2022,” Tomac said recently. “I’ve not raced at any of the venues on the calendar, or even raced in Australia or Abu Dhabi before so it’s going to be a new experience. I’ve had some pace in my riding this year and I’m looking forward to the season starting to see what we can achieve, hopefully picking up some podium finishes, and to also put on some amazing races for the fans.”

Roczen, who also has a World MX2 championship and two AMA 450 motocross championships to his name will want to defend his World 450 supercross championship in 2024 and start his defence with victory of Tomac in Canada in 10 days time.

“It’s no secret that I’ll be back for WSX in 2024,” Roczen said. “I’m confident that this season will be the most competitive yet. We have new tracks and returning riders like Eli [Tomac], so the battle on track will be gnarly and the fans will be in for some amazing racing all season. Since the injury earlier in the year, I’ve been working hard to come back and even though I’m against setting high expectations, the ultimate goal is to always win the World Championship – I want to go three for three this season. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and to working with Colt and can’t wait to get it started.”

Anstie, who will be working hard in the winter with his Star Racing Yamaha team and trying to make major success in the AMA championships, but a wildcard rider in Canada is definatly something he will enjoy and carrying the number one plate, he won in 2023 might also be on the cards.

“The WSX Canadian GP is a fantastic fixture to start a season with,” Anstie said. “I’m looking forward to being back on the SX2 grid,” Anstie said in a press release. “Competing as a Wildcard rider is very different to being a full-time competitor because when you go onto the track, you arguably have nothing to lose. After ending 2023 on top in SX2, I want to maintain that form in Vancouver by fighting at the front, hunting down podiums, and hopefully, claiming the overall victory.
