Joined by media, spectators and over 3,000 enthusiastic school groups, Supercross stars showcased the thrilling action that awaits this weekend. With an estimated 280,000 fans expected across the event, the atmosphere is electric and filled with anticipation.

American Joey Savatgy shared his thoughts on competing at such a high-profile multi-sport event: “Bringing our sport to such a massive, iconic event is incredible. The crowd’s energy makes us push harder, and it’s a big step in the positive growth of Supercross.”

Dean Wilson from Scotland reflected on racing in Adelaide, adding, “This is a huge event for us. Knowing so many fans are here to watch us battle it out and we’re here to put on a show they won’t forget.”

Queenslander Luke Clout, determined to maintain his momentum, commented, “I’m feeling stronger than ever, and having this race on the calendar is massive. I’m prepared to push it to the limit.”

Local hero Brett Metcalfe shared an emotional moment of racing in front of his home crowd, saying, “This is my backyard, and racing here for the last time in Adelaide with family, friends, and loyal fans is special. I’m ready to make it count.”

AFL legend and Adelaide’s own Charlie Dixon joined the press day, sharing his passion for motorsport and Supercross. Known for his love of high-speed action, Dixon expressed excitement about being part of the event, blending his worlds of professional sports and motorsport. He looks forward to witnessing an incredible weekend of racing and is thrilled to celebrate Australia’s top racing talent in his hometown.

The weekend will feature a Super Sprint format, ensuring non-stop, high-energy heats on a fast-paced, technical track that amplifies the intensity of every lap. With SX1 and SX2 riders competing head-to-head in shorter, high-stakes heats, fans can expect fierce competition as riders give it their all to secure their spot in the finals on Saturday.

As the Boost Mobile Supercross Sprint kicks off, the VAILO Adelaide 500 promises an unforgettable weekend of Supercross action across three action-packed days. With local fans fuelling the excitement and riders giving everything they’ve got, this iconic event is set to showcase the very best of Supercross, delivering electrifying moments and intense racing that fans won’t want to miss.
