10,000 visitors in the sold-out Westfalenhalle celebrated the new 'King of Dortmund' on the MAOAM family day of the ADAC Supercross Dortmund. Greg Aranda (Sturm Racing Team) has finally done it again after 2014: With two wins and a second place on the 'Triple Crown' final day, the 35-year-old Frenchman took the day's victory and won the event ranking at the 40th anniversary of the traditional supercross event by a clear margin.

"I love driving in Germany because the biggest trophies are here," beamed Aranda. "After yesterday's victory, I have now become champion of the ADAC SX Cup six times, but I have only managed to win the king's title once so far. The fact that I managed it for the second time today makes me incredibly proud. I was close so many times, but in Dortmund the track is always a big challenge and I made mistakes. This year I was able to improve day by day and was whipped forward by the fans. Thank you, Dortmund!”

Second place went to Aranda's teammate Maxime Desprey, who was the 2024 'Prince of Dortmund' in the SX2 class. "After not even qualifying for the final on Friday, I was finally able to show what I'm made of with my victory on Saturday and second place today. There was no way to beat Greg, he was in a league of his own again."

Adrien Escoffier (VisuAlz Production) completed the podium on Sunday afternoon after three heats in which he finished fifth, fourth and third. "It was a crazy long weekend," he admitted. "I'm happy to finally be on the podium. It was always close. The key to success on this demanding course is the start. And I finally managed it well today."

In the 'King of Dortmund' ranking, Michael Hicks (Meyer Yamha Racing powered by DirtScrub) - winner of the opening evening - and Cedric Soubeyras (Kawasaki Team Pfeil) finished in second and third place. The latter narrowly missed out on the jump to the top of the all-time best list in Dortmund. Until five corners before the end, he was in second place behind Aranda in the third heat. Then he crashed and ultimately missed third place in the daily ranking. This means that his compatriot Florent Richier will remain the eternal 'King of Dortmund' for at least another year.

The joy knew no bounds when he raised the big winner's trophy at the end of three exhausting days. A third place in the third heat was enough for Jules Pietre (Meyer Racing powered by DirtScrub) to crown himself the 'Prince of Dortmund'. The 18-year-old Frenchman won the final on the opening evening and thus laid the foundation for success. In the 'Night of the Fans' on Saturday evening, he finished second. "I wouldn't have thought it possible to win here in front of this fantastic audience in the Westfalenhalle," he beamed. "But I obviously managed it and I'm just happy. Wow, a fantastic day."

The victory in the final went to Izaih Clark (KLmotors Racing). The American drove a strong race and relegated Brice Maylin (Meyer Racing powered by DirtScrub) to second place by a whopping 6.720 seconds. "That was a really good race," said Clark. "This is my first time here in Dortmund and my team and the fans have made sure that I feel very comfortable here. I'd love to come back!" For Maylin, the second podium place was a conciliatory result. "It wasn't my best weekend and I had expected more," he admitted. "At least I was able to make it onto the podium twice."

The best-placed driver from Germany in the SX2 final was Paul Haberland (Motorrad Waldmann) in sixth place. In the event rankings, he ended up in seventh place. Calvin Fonvielle (KTM Sarholz Racing Team), who had secured the ADAC SX Cup title on Saturday evening, missed out on a place in the final on the third day of the event.

With an extremely strong performance, Felix Siegl drove his way into the hearts of the spectators at the weekend and confidently crowned himself Mini Prince. After three days, three races and three victories, the twelve-year-old won the SX4 overall ranking at the 40th ADAC Supercross Dortmund with the maximum score of 60 points. He commented enthusiastically on his success after the race: “Incredible, I’m really into supercross. Awesome! It’s just a lot of fun.”

In the MAOAM race on Sunday, series winner Siegl was honored with Bruno Lenarz in second place and Tim Burgermeister for third place. Lenarz was also able to enjoy a new pavilion roof from the organizers.
