Alpinestars, the global leader in protective gear and performance apparel for motocross and motorsports, today announces the launch to market of its innovative Alpinestars Force Deflection (AFD) technology, as part of the new Limited Edition Supertech MIG gear set.Featured in the new Limited Edition Supertech MIG Jersey, released this weekend to coincide with Round 5 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in Tampa, the AFD system is designed to elevate rider safety in motocross and off-road riding.

The all-new innovative technology offers genuine protective features in a motocross jersey without the added weight of traditional protectors. The new AFD technology is integrated seamlessly into the construction of the jersey, utilizing low-friction sliding surfaces aimed at reducing the forces transmitted to the shoulder area in the event of a crash or contact with the ground.

The AFD technology helps deflect impact forces by facilitating an internal sliding motion upon the rider’s contact with the ground, resulting in significantly lower direct stress being transmitted to the shoulder and reducing the risk of rider injury.

Developed at Alpinestars' state-of-the-art R&D facility and used in racing by its elite motocross and supercross athletes, AFD sets a new benchmark for safety without compromising comfort or mobility.

Hunter Lawrence: “The brand motto says it all: Alpinestars Protects. They really are the leaders in this area when it comes to innovation and safety, and this (AFD technology) is just another example of their commitment to making the sport safer for all of us. Jett and I never ride or race without it.”
